Wilderness Education App with Real-Time Parent & Teacher Collaboration
We built Nature Rangers' mobile platform, connecting parents and teachers across school-year and summer wilderness programs with real-time group chat, enrollment management, attendance tracking, and Firebase push notifications.

The Problem
Parents and educators lacked a structured digital tool to manage enrollment, track attendance, and communicate in real time across Nature Rangers' expanding franchise locations nationwide, limiting visibility and parent engagement.
The Solution
We built a cross-platform mobile app: parents enroll children in programs, teachers mark real-time attendance, and WebSocket-powered group chats connect teachers and parents instantly. Firebase push notifications keep families informed about class updates, schedule changes, and activity reminders, with a Node.js + MySQL backend supporting multi-location franchise operations.
